Phood farm, une manière de travailler et d'apprendre ensemble

Au début de l'année 2021, Phood Farm a ouvert les portes de sa ferme d'intérieure et ainsi lancé une nouvelle ferme aquaponique au cœur de la ville d'Eindhoven, dans le sud des Pays-Bas. Prenant la relève de l'ancien propriétaire de la ferme urbaine « Duurzame Kost », Phood Farm a ainsi eu l'opportunité de poursuivre la collaboration au sein du programme IMAGINE.

Dès lors, de nouveaux jeunes (NEETs) ont rejoint le programme au sein de Phood Farm et ont commencé à travailler ensemble en tant que petite communauté, en partageant et en apprenant ensemble. Un apprentissage axé à la fois sur la culture du « jardin extérieur », prenant la forme de sessions éducatives autour de l'aquaponie et la permaculture. Mais aussi axé sur la culture du « jardin intérieur » ; comment maintenir son propre équilibre et son niveau d'énergie, en apprendre davantage sur l'entrepreneuriat, et plus encore…

En quelques mois, ces nouveaux jeunes ont appris à entretenir les plantes et les systèmes au quotidien, et s'orientent désormais vers de nouvelles formations en extérieur, sur un terrain construit selon les principes de la permaculture. La durabilité et l'accent mis autour d'un mode de vie sain sont au premier plan de tout ce que fait Phood Farm. C'est pourquoi tous ceux qui rejoignent l'équipe mangent ensemble des produits cultivés à la ferme de leurs propres mains, préparés par ceux qui trouvent leur passion dans la cuisine.

Phood Farm a un partenariat avec Futuris, qui fournit des coachs professionnels et maintient un contact étroit avec les services sociaux, car de nombreux participants ont leur propre histoire et sont suivis par des praticiens en soins de santé mentale et autres. Ils reçoivent une formation et un coaching individuels afin de les préparer au mieux à leur futur développement personnel et professionnel.

Le projet IMAGINE est une chance pour eux de recevoir une gamme complète de formations pour grandir de la manière la plus naturelle, tout comme les plantes avec lesquelles ils travaillent.

Phood farm, a way of working and learning together

In the beginning of 2021 Phood Farm opened it’s indoor farm doors to start a new Aquaponics Farm in the middle of the city Eindhoven in the South of the Netherlands. Taking over from the former owner of this Aquaponics system “Duurzame Kost”, Phood Farm had the opportunity to continue collaboration with the IMAGINE program.

Since then new NEET’s have applied to join the program and projects of Phood Farm, and started working together as a small community, working and learning together. Not only about “outer gardening”, in the form of educational sessions about Aquaponics and Permaculture. But also about “inner gardening” ; how to maintain your own balance and energy level, learn about entrepreneurship, and more.

Within a few months these new NEET’s learned to maintain the plants and systems on a daily basis, and are now moving towards new trainings outside, on a piece of land that is built according to permaculture principles. Sustainability is at the forefront of everything Phood Farm does, as well as healthy living. That is why everyone who joins the crew eats together of the produce that is grown in the farm with their own hands, prepared by those who find their passion in cooking.

Phood Farm has a partnership with Futuris, who provides job coaches and maintains close contact with social services, as many of the participants have their own history and involvement with mental health care and other practitioners. They receive individual training and coaching in order to prepare them in the best way possible to future personal and professional development.

The Imagine project is a chance for them to receive a full spectrum of trainings to grow in their most natural way, just like the plants they work with.
